Meditate [ˈmed.ɪ.teɪt]

VERB

1. To think calm thoughts in order to relax or as a religious activity:

PURPOSE

 

Most Hong Kong workers are having a highly stressful life. Inclusion of tea culture and art in daily life can potentially enhance quality of mental health of urbanites. “Stress” is a negative emotional experience accompanied by predictable biochemical, physiological, psychological, cognitive, and behavioral changes which is always affecting Hong Kong people. Many recent researches reflected that majority of Hong Kong working population were facing high work stress, which strongly correlates with physiological, psychological and interpersonal problems.

 

This project aims to propose the use of tea and art to relieve workplace. A Tea Parlor is thus designed. 

TARGET USER

 

Over 80% of the respondents expressed that they are facing to different levels of stress.

More than 50% of Hong Kong people indicated at a high personal stress index.
